Washtenaw Success by 6 is part of a statewide effort to create a single system supporting young children and their parents – this part of our work is called the Washtenaw Great Start Collaborative and is powered at the state level by the Early Childhood Investment Corporation.

The Great Start Collaborative greatly strengthens the work of Washtenaw Success by 6 in our county. The Collaborative prepares a yearly report on the Status of Young Children in Washtenaw County. This document looks at the current data around young children and their families, assesses what the community believes to be the most pressing issues facing young children and their families and outlines some of the community-wide efforts to address these issues.

Mission: That every child in Washtenaw County enters school ready to succeed.

Vision: To ensure that every Washtenaw County family has access to a comprehensive and collaborative system of community-based early childhood programs, services and supports.
